2024 Rookie Season Review

From injuries days before the Winter Cup (and then again before the season opener), to being driven over the top of in my first race with my new kart, and smashed off during quali at my first ever Tillotson Nations Cup….  There can only be one word that sums up the 2024 season:

EPIC!

From how it started, I am incredibly proud to have ended the season with 2x P1 and a P3 podium during the NXT GP Dutch Open series.

I am also very grateful for the opportunity to represent my team, Team PitParts, at the first ever Tillotson appearance during the British Kart Championships and to have represented the Netherlands during the 2024 Tillotson Nations Cup, where I ranked 38th in the world.

Thank you to everyone at Team PitParts, TeamNL, NXT Racing, NK Tillotson and Tillotson for all of your support this year - and especially to Krestho, Mike, Jimmy, Bastiaan, Joey, Dylano, Jorn, Jorn Jelle, Menno, Maarten, Tristian, Bram, Wietske, Kevin, Luca, Ricardo, Pieterjan and Erik for investing so much time in mentoring me and helping me progress throughout the year, and to Mathilde and the Zanen, Bremer and Hoornstra families for all the laughs!.

Thank you also to my mum who was there dealing with the stress of every lap and who, together with my sister, made a lot of sacrifices to make this year happen. Muchos gracias!!
